Risk disclosure
RelayPad is experimental software for creating and trading tokens on a public blockchain. Using it can result in the total loss of everything you put in. Read this page in full before launching, buying or holding anything on the platform.
1. Fake distribution (sybil) risk
This is RelayPad's signature risk and the one most likely to mislead you.
RelayPad measures distribution from on-chain data: how many distinct addresses hold the token, and how much of the supply sits in the largest one. It has no way to verify that distinct addresses are distinct people. A creator can distribute supply across hundreds or thousands of wallets they secretly control, and the resulting on-chain picture is indistinguishable from genuine grassroots distribution. The utility will unlock. The token will display an "unlocked" badge. And one person may still control most of the float.
Do not read 'unlocked' as 'safe' or 'decentralised'
An unlocked status means two on-chain numbers currently satisfy a rule. It is not an audit, an endorsement, or evidence of a real community. Treat it as one weak signal among many, and look at the holder breakdown yourself.
Mitigations exist but are partial: dust floors on counted balances, publicly visible holder breakdowns, and the concentration cap forcing supply to actually be split. Stronger heuristics — minimum value per wallet, wallet-age and activity checks, funding-graph clustering — are a work in progress and are not solved at launch. We would rather say that plainly than imply a robustness the system does not have.
2. Smart contract risk
Contracts may contain bugs, logic errors or vulnerabilities, including in the code that evaluates distribution and toggles utility. A flaw could cause utility to activate when it should not, fail to activate when it should, or permit loss of funds. Audits reduce this risk; they never eliminate it. Deployed contracts may be immutable, meaning discovered bugs may be unfixable.
3. Market and liquidity risk
Token prices are volatile and can go to zero. Liquidity may be thin, one-sided or withdrawn entirely, leaving you unable to sell at any reasonable price — or at all. Nothing about distribution gating creates, guarantees or protects liquidity. Historical or illustrative figures shown anywhere on this site are not predictive.
4. Permissionless creation risk
Anyone can launch a token on RelayPad. RelayPad does not vet, review, endorse or verify any token, creator, description, ticker or attached utility. Tokens may impersonate real brands and projects, misrepresent what they do, promise utility that is never delivered, or be outright scams. The presence of a token on this interface implies nothing about its legitimacy.
5. Utility delivery risk
Utility described at launch — fee discounts, governance weight, staking boosts, custom benefits — depends on the creator and any external systems they control. RelayPad cannot force a creator to honour off-chain promises. "Unlocked" means a condition was met, not that a benefit was delivered.
6. Re-locking risk
Unlocking is reversible by design. If supply re-concentrates above the cap or the holder count drops below the threshold, utility switches off automatically. If you bought a token because of active utility, be aware that utility can disappear at any time through no action of your own, and without notice.
7. Regulatory risk
The legal treatment of tokens, launchpads and related activity differs by jurisdiction and is changing. Tokens launched here may be treated as securities or other regulated instruments in your jurisdiction. Regulatory action could restrict access to the protocol, affect token value, or create tax and reporting obligations for you. You are responsible for determining and complying with the laws that apply to you.
8. $RELAY status
$RELAY is live on Robinhood Chain mainnet. Any token, sale or address claiming to be $RELAY today is not affiliated with RelayPad. Verify the contract address through official RelayPad channels before transacting.
9. No warranty, no advice
RelayPad is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, accuracy or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, no contributor to RelayPad is liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages arising from your use of the protocol or this interface.
Nothing on this site is financial, investment, legal, tax or accounting advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Do your own research and consider seeking independent professional advice.
Questions about the mechanic itself are answered in How Distribution Is Measured.
